In order to choose the right contractor there are some things that need to be taken into consideration
Experience & Certificates
It does not matter if your project is kitchen, shower or general renovation Ask specific questions about the process and its components, the prices of each stage and whether the work is carried out by the contractor himself or by subcontractor Ask to see photos and testimonials from other customers that the contractor worked for.
Contract
All that has been said during the meetings prior to the renovation must but must be written signed by both parties, including, if any, the type of materials, fair distribution of payments according to progress
License,Insurance, Bond & Business License
True, the quotes you will get from a "cotractor" without a license will be much cheaper than a licensed contractor, but, let me tell you something, there are endless ways to cut corners in your renovation, and if you do not have a license - you have nothing to lose.
Do not compromise on quality and well-organized work with a company that has a license and warranty
Company Structure
My personal recommendation is to understand what the structure of the company is,
Is it one man show, family business or a large company that manages hundreds of projects a year. If this is a big company try to figure out who the person you are doing the deal with, whether it is a salesperson or the contractor itself, it will help you understand the prices and Also the form of work, who is the project manager and how much of the work is done by subcontractors, is there customer service or someone else you can talk to in specific cases
We highly recommend Eric. He does quality work, stays within budget and is always on time. Plus,-- he is patient, pleasant and a joy to work with.
